The days of downloading or uploading data from a mobile device using a sync cable are over. Farm Sync, links the field to the office by transferring data through a wireless network.
Since most farmers own, or could easily add, a wireless hub to their office computer, any farmer or consultant can benefit. This refreshing new technology will improve data collection in the field, bypassing memory cards, while reducing the time needed to update records in the office.
How It Works:
Simply enter the field record using a mobile device with WIFI capabilities. Farm Works' mobile solutions make it easy to enter records with quick drop-down lists of names for fields, equipment, personnel and supplies. Other jobs for mapping field boundaries, soil sample locations, drains or variable rate can also be accomplished using GPS.
Once the jobs are completed, Farm Sync does the rest for you. Simply drive within your wireless network range and all the data, such as field records and maps, automatically synchronize to the office computer. It's just as easy when more than one mobile device is used in the field. When the wireless network detects each mobile device, all completed jobs will download automatically into one project.
In order to boost your wireless range, antennas can be purchased from various retailers to extend the range another 300 meters or more.
Farm Sync settings are simply entered in Trac Mate or Site Mate (Scouting level and upwards) on the mobile device. When the device is within range of the wireless router it then knows where to send the data.
